Do you fill on the 2nd or 1st?
Depends on how they do it. If they pebble on the 1st, then acid wash on the 2nd you will also fill on the 2nd and then swim when you have water. That is how they did ours.
What is a pebble tec pool?
Pebble Tec® swimming pool surfaces are very similar to plaster or Marcite. Small river pebbles are mixed with Portland cement and dye at the truck. The mix is then pumped through a hose to the pool via high pressure. The mixture is then troweled on to the pool walls and floor. After the new pool surface dries, the surface is acid rinsed to remove the thin cement covering; exposing the smooth surface and pebbles, much like an exposed aggregate pool deck.

We are within a few weeks of having the Pebble Tec finish applied to our new pool. (Carribbean Blue). I've seem where people talk about brushing the new pool finishes, but does this also include Pebble Tec? If yes, how often must brushing take place?

Our builder told us to brush our pebble tec with the steel brush they gave us... we did, and I have to say the surface of our pool is very smooth, and gentle on the feet. I have heard other people who have had pebble surfaced complain of feet cuts... We were happy we brushed.
