You also need to have at least 6 GB of RAM--but we recommend 8GB for better performance. Depending on how many players will use the server, you may need more RAM. In addition, the computer hosting the server should be separate from the computer used for gaming. This computer should have at least two CPU cores per ARK server at 3.0GHz

The hertz (symbol Hz) is the unit of frequency in the International System of Units (SI) and is defined as one cycle per second. It is named for Heinrich Rudolf Hertz, the first person to provide conclusive proof of the existence of electromagnetic waves.

How much RAM do I need to run Ark OS?
OS Requirements: You reserve 1 GB RAM for the OS, plus an additional 1 GB for every 4 GB between 4-16 and another 1 GB for each 8 GB above 16 GB. For example, a server with 32 GB RAM uses 7 GB for the OS and the remaining 25 GB for the SQL Server. Do you have to pay to run a dedicated Ark server?
What are the system requirements for an Ark Survival dedicated server?
Before you begin using an ARK Survival dedicated server, your system must meet certain criteria. You need to be running at least a 64-bit Windows system or be on the Linux Operating System. You also need to have at least 6 GB of RAM--but we recommend 8-16 GB for better performance.
How many cores does Ark server use?
Ark Server uses one core for the game and a second core is used for networking overhead and cost of animation work. This is according to the developer of the game. Hi, was planning on building an ark server out of an old dell desktop with a 775 socket cpu e6750 and 8gb ram.
How much space does Ark take up on Steam?
I'd probably take their word on that. ARK is notorious for being one of the most poorly optimized games on Steam. Even without any mods, it sucks up more than 40GB of disk space. To be honest, I'm quite surprised you're not instead asking how much RAM is needed to even start the game to begin with!
How much RAM should I allocate to ARK?
If you have a large amount of RAM (16GB or higher), then launch the game normally by selecting Play ARK: Survival Evolved. However, if you have 4-8GB of RAM you might want to select Launch Ark (Low Memory 4GB), or if you have lower than 4GB select Extremely Low Memory.
How much RAM do I need for my server?
16GB and 32GB are common capacities of server memory. In terms of size, for high-end workstations 16GB minimum is probably best, whereas for more budget friendly home set ups, 8GB should about do.
Is 16GB RAM enough for a server?
Size of Database(s): The most important consideration due to its direct impact on processing needed to populate a data warehouse, if the database is 50 GB or under then 16 GB of RAM is sufficient. Execution Packages: The more RAM your server is equipped with, the faster it will complete execution packages.
Why would you need 1TB of RAM?
With 1TB of RAM, you could launch every single game on your system and never close them. The data would stay loaded in RAM, allowing you to switch games whenever you wanted. Even if you took a break and weren't playing anything, you could keep them open. They'd be instantly available when you got back in the mood.

My server (usually 1-6 players on at a time) runs a six-map cluster no problem with these specs:
Larkfields
If you launch your servers with the -nitradotest2 option, it will limit the tickrate to 3 when there are no players connected. This can have a noticeable impact on CPU as well as memory for large worlds since there will be less calls per second (less computation/memory allocation, etc.).

Hi invincible. Do you have any contact with WildCard to request that flag as an option for unofficial servers please?
Larkfields
I'm assuming WildCard build a specific version of the Ark server for Nitrado.

This is with seven of my nine servers running with a couple of players on (very small community of players) I can comfortably run all nine plus a 7 Days to die server at the same time.

I did notice an increase in RAM usage. Also it had little effect on the Abberation map. That one went from 4.9% to 5.2%.

Sylen - from the figures you posted, it looks like your RAM usage has gone up by more than 10x ! How many people were logged on when you took those screenshots? Every player has a memory and CPU footprint.
