That is beautiful! I personally do not have a pencil tree, but why don't you try to wrap the garland around it to see if you need more, or if you can wrap it in such a way that it would be sufficient. I found a site that said 40 feet of garland would be sufficient for a 7 foot skinny tree, but there were no pictures on how it was wrapped.
