My piggies have never been to the vet because I know they have been healthy since I adopted them, but I did call my local exotics vet where they take guinea pigs just to see the prices and mine was 38 as well, and if you have two they lower the second rate a little.

We had a physical for $45. It was more than 10 minutes though. It might have been longer than average because we were also coming in with a suspected UTI or bladder stone. We were in there at least a half hour, but much of it really was do a complete physical.

I called exotic vets in my area. Most of them charge $65 for a scheduled visit. For walk-in (urgent care) or after hours, they charge $95. That's per pig, no discount for the second one.

At the vet near me it is $60 for them just to look at my pigs. I've heard some shady things about them so I didn't go there. Instead I went to the vet that the CT Guinea Pig Rescue takes their too and it was $42.

Well, it's good to know so far I'm on the low end of the scale then when it comes to vet costs. I'm not sure yet what to think of the vet yet though.

The vet visit for my pigs is $45 each, and thats just a checkup! When I found a lump on Marbles I spent $150 for a sample to be sent away to check for cancer. (Thankfully it was not cancer!)
