Are Indow inserts worth it?
The inserts work well at reducing outside noise. We have a train by our offices and it has greatly helped. The sample kit lets you see the colors of the tubing and the look of the product before committing to an order. If you do order, the cost of the kit gets credited back to you which is nice.

What color is the insert tubing?
The insert compression tubing currently comes in white, brown and black. The brown is comparable to Benjamin Moore’s French Press. For large commercial jobs, custom colors are available in any of the Pantone colors.

Indow window inserts are custom sized to fit each opening and are made from compression tubing that is pressed into the existing frame to create a tight seal. The glass area is acrylic glazing, which has some bend to it, but is virtually undetectable once installed.
Indow Windows Cost
Indow windows prices start at $20 per square foot, not including the dealer cost to ship, measure and install the inserts. As an example, an opening that measures 36" by 48" (which is decent sized opening) will run $240 for the standard insert itself and then whatever the dealer charges for the shipping, measuring and installation.
Indow Acoustic Inserts
The Indow Acoustic insert uses a slightly thicker panel and will reduce exterior noise to a greater extent than the Standard insert.
Indow Shade Inserts
The Indow Shade model blocks out heat and increases the overall energy efficiency of the windows. The Shade grade blocks out over half of the heat and is ideal for hot and sunny locations.

How it Works
We make custom window inserts based on Measure by Indow, a proprietary software we designed to check the accuracy of window measurements. Going through this process ensures a precise fit, allowing us to offer you our Snug Fit Guarantee (™).
Measuring for an Estimate on Custom Window Inserts
Getting an estimate is simple. It involves measuring all four sides of your window using a tape measure. Check out this illustrated graph:
STEP 1
Some windows have more than one frame step, shown above in blue and yellow. Identify the best frame step to install the insert.
STEP 2
For the inserts to fit there must be at least 5/8″ of flat space all the way around. Measure width and round up to the nearest inch.
STEP 3
The frame step must be unobstructed by window hardware or blinds. Measure the height and round up to the nearest inch.
