it seems like it varies. I searched Shia version ayat kursi and it came up only verse 255 of surah Baqarah. Ive never heard 255,256,257 being the ayat kursi before either until now. ayat means one verse so it should only be one verse right?! :o But hey, whats the harm in memorizing more verses of the Holy book...I still think its only 255 tho.
