Spore prints have been known to last 18 years! Perhaps longer but this is the longest we are aware of from our customer feedback and our network. Spore syringes do not last as long because eventually the water develops bacteria. A general guideline is 8 to 12 months.

Why can't I print on my mushrooms?

The mushroom must be mature to ensure that it has enough spores to print. A freshly picked mushroom is more likely to have live spores than a store-bought one. If parts of the mushroom cover the spores, the printing effect won't work as well.
