Error code obd2 is P2647 indicating the terminals of that switch are high resistance or open circuit . What is extremely strange , switch is new and goes into open circuit and when taken off the car it stays in open circuit for about 45 mins and then goes back to closed circuit . If it is a closed circuit the car works properly but if it opens at the wrong time the car check engine light turns on and car goes into limp mode . If switch is closed circuit the cel can be rest with obd2 machine. If switch is open circuit and we try and reset cel it won’t reset. Leave car alone for a few hours and switch is closed again . What is triggering the switch to open ? Is it oil temperature ? Surely it has no oil pressure when taken off the car and this indicates a temperature affect ? Assume oil in the area, turn off car , remove switch and you would think switch is back to normal but no reading until switch is left sitting for 45 mins then it works again?
