Removing the Door Panel

Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws in the armrest located in the bottom side. Remove the screw that retains a plastic piece in the front of the door handle. Remove the plastic cover that conceals the mounting point for the outside mirror on the top front of door panel.

My drivers side quit working. I took the door/window assembly apart and found that a small plastic clip had worn/broken. I modified it to hold the cable securely. The problem I had was knowing how the cables routed in the door and window assembly to put it back together. I found an online picture of a new one and routed my cables per the photo.

The door panel is held on to the sheet metal door frame by plastic push pins that fit inside the door panel (where you can't see them). Use either a flat head screwdriver, or probably a pocket knife would work best, and slowly work your way around the door panel prying the panel and plastic push pins away from the sheet metal.

the window crank is held on by a c-clip. To get it off you take a medium sized flat tip screwdriver and slip it in between the back of the crank and the panel GENTLY or you will tear up the door panel.BAD. Pry the panel away from the crank and you should be able to see the c-clip, then use a small bladed screwdriver to pop off the clip.
