Step 1: Connecting the Main Parts

I started by drilling a hole in the middle of the coupling nut. Then inserted the long screw into this hole. I ground the screw's head with a grinding wheel so it would nice and smooth. One trick that I used here was to grind both sides of the screw a flat spot, exactly where the bottom of to bolts meet the screw inside the coupling nut.

I cut two pieces of round wood and drilled a hole through them. then mount each piece to drill press and used some sandpaper to create these nice curves so it would feel comfortable while holding. In the end I did another round of fine sandpaper and there you go, it is looking beautiful.

Step 3: Final Result

I have to say it worked very well, my only concern at this point was the sharp edges of the screw, so be careful with those.
