how do i know if my anemone is splitting

by Oran Tillman V Published 3 years ago Updated 2 years ago

When an anemone is about to split, it's usually pretty obvious. It will elongate, stretching across one or more rocks. It will pull both directions, basically ripping itself in half. When a BTA splits, it's even more important to maintain water quality parameters so the halves can heal properly.

Other people would have been far more vehement and condescending in their response.

Jason McKenzie Super Moderator Staff Member

I have had the same issues. It appears if I look at my BTA the wrong way it splits. It's never been a concern because all the splits do very well after. My only problem is the wondering after the split. So I wait a couple of weeks until they have settled that I sell them.
