Pre war money does have value. I have been using it to trade with every single merchant/vendor I have come across. It helps lower the amount of caps needed to buy what ever you want to get.

- Bartering my crops for tons of fusion cores, chems, rare materials, powerful ammo and grenades

Fallout 3 doesn't get enough credit for its sense of humor
I was playing through Raven Rock today, and as I was walking in the crawlspace underneath the Mess Hall I came upon a huge pile of small forks and spoons lying on the ground. At first I was puzzled, but then I looked up and saw the floor texture of the Mess Hall was made of metal grates with big gaps in them.
I would give anything for a 3D Remake of Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 available on multiple consoles
Something like Wasteland 3 or Atom RPG. Still isometric. Give it a modern UI. A director’s commentary. Some art books, behind the scenes stuff. Soundtrack. Maybe voice acting? Maybe that’s too much. But I would love a modern version of these games.
