Fun getting to work with kids
It’s a pretty satisfying job. The problem is when there’s no work at schools you don’t get paid as well as it’s not 40 hours. The management is really nice though.
I do not recommend
They are still using paper notes. There are absolutely no benefits working here.. the insurance is a joke and way expensive. My PTO.. I’ve worked over 45 hour weeks most weeks and have acquired 16 hours of PTO.. there’s absolutely no advancement opportunities and they will try to make you feel guilty if you have parental duties outside of work.
They don't pay much at all
Maxim is a good company however they need to be more competitive with their pay. Other agencies in the area are paying almost double their hourly rate. It's great for someone who just started out in their career. However I would not recommend to someone further along.
Great for new grads
To get experience it’s great but after a while then 1-2 years later you realize there are no pay increases, no source of elevation in the company at all. benefits are ok. literally only 24 hours PTO yearly very sad. Get some experience then RUN!
Awful contracts no work
I was taken from another company because they promised me more pay. Little did I know the increase in pay will result in decrease hours. I was hired as a full time employee buy instead of 40 hours a week on Wednesday I am told to stop coding for rest of week!
Long hours, lots of miles on your car, quite underpaid for the labor!
8am-6/6:30pm days with several commutes without great compensation for the drives. They pay the minimum commute rate and cancelation rate (there are many cancelations) so don't come here thinking you have a guaranteed income nor benefits! Thankfully my spouse and I are not in a position which we can not survive without it.
No PTO benefits
The rate and opportunity to accrue PTO is unfair and barely exists. The Insurance benefits are too costly and don't cover fairly. There's less than satisfactory support from the office. Communication is poor.
