It's not really the strength that matters but its ability to remain stuck when heat is added. I don't know about the gorilla tape, but foil tape is what I have always used

Gorilla tape should work great! I love the stuff! I use it on my tanks to hold the insulation in place - works like a champ!!!

I think gorilla tape would work but I would just run to my home depot and get some aluminum tape. They should still be open unless your on the east coast.
