DMV INV proactively carries out DP parking placard enforcement operations throughout the year in an effort to reduce the impact that disabled placard fraud has on the mobility of those with disabilities.#N#California Vehicle Code (CVC) §4461 (b) (c) makes it illegal to borrow, steal, or otherwise display a DP parking placard/license plate that is not registered to you. This means that you cannot lend your placard to a friend, family member, or acquaintance and allow them to use it. It also means that you must report your placard/plate if it gets stolen, and that you cannot display your DP parking placard/license plate if it has been cancelled or revoked.

It is illegal for any person to act as a vehicle dismantler without establishing a business, meeting specific requirements, and having a current (valid) license or temporary permit issued by DMV.
