Do you offer a fuel hose and nozzle kit?

To make it as easy as possible for your to purchase and install, we offer a range of fuel hose and nozzle kits with all the components you need. These pre-assembled diesel nozzle and hose kits are available for either gravity fed installations where there is no pump, or for replacing the fuel nozzle and hose combination on an existing tank.

What is an automatic shut off nozzle?

These are UL approved, "automatic shut off" nozzles (spring shut off when fuel level high) that are used for service station refuelling pressure pumps. Nozzles can be sold complete with a hand warmer and splash guard, or without.

What is the temperature range for the nozzle internals?

Standard nozzle internals are rated down to -40°C (-40°F), however "Cold Temperature" nozzles are rated down to -51°C (-60°F).

What does a food grade nozzles look like?

These food grade nozzles have Viton seals, stainless pin/spring, and a trigger lock for dispensing into drums or totes. They come with a hose barb end.

Are diesel and gas nozzles the same size?

Diesel nozzles are bigger than gas fuel pump nozzles. Therefore, if you attempt to put a diesel nozzle in a gas fuel tank, it will not fit. Also, it would be best if you never attempted to do this, as adding diesel to a gas vehicle can harm the vehicle.

Are diesel and gas nozzles the same?

Diesel nozzles are wider than gasoline nozzles, which means a diesel nozzle won't fit into your gasoline vehicle's tank. Diesel drivers should take extra caution, though, because the smaller gasoline nozzle will easily fit into diesel filler necks.

Does petrol nozzle fit in diesel?

What happens if you put petrol in a diesel car? Putting petrol into a diesel tank causes more damage than diesel in a petrol car. Plus, petrol nozzles can easily fit into most modern diesel filter necks. It makes it far easier to accidentally put petrol into a diesel tank than vice versa.

Do petrol and diesel have different nozzles?

Why don't people put diesel in petrol tanks? Diesel misfuelling is easily done. An unleaded pump nozzle is smaller in diameter than a diesel nozzle and so fits the tank filler neck without resistance. However, the reverse does not apply as the diesel nozzle simply will not fit in the filler of an unleaded petrol tank.

Why is the diesel nozzle bigger than unleaded?

Diesel Engine Image Gallery When unleaded gasoline first appeared, this plate helped to prevent drivers from putting the leaded gasoline nozzle in -- the unleaded and leaded nozzles were different sizes. The diesel nozzle is even bigger than leaded nozzles were, so it would never fit in the gas tank of most cars.

Are diesel pumps always green?

While this is often true, it is not always the case. There are no legal requirements for fuel nozzle colors. Today, diesel fuel is dispensed through nozzles that may be green, black, yellow or any other color the retailer desires.

Do diesel pumps have a different nozzle?

But, there is an easy way to avoid this costly mistake. First, diesel fuel dispensers are usually clearly marked with text and with a special color handle (the color varies by station). Second, the nozzle on the end of a diesel fuel pump is slightly larger than a standard fuel nozzle.

What will destroy a diesel engine?

As little as 1% gasoline contamination will lower the diesel flash point by 18 degrees C. This means the diesel fuel will prematurely ignite in the diesel engine, which can lead to engine damage. Gasoline contamination can also damage the fuel pump and mess up diesel injectors.

What is the diameter of a diesel nozzle?

Are the diameters of petrol and diesel gas nozzles standardized? In accordance with the standard EN 13012 the diameters of fuel nozzles at all gas stations are the same. The narrower petrol fuel nozzle has a standard diameter of 21mm. The diesel fuel nozzle is wider with the diameter of 25mm.

What Colour is diesel pump?

Diesel pumps are most likely yellow or black, but even there you have to be careful as some fuel companies sell "premium" diesel at distinctly higher prices than everyday diesel and, despite their claims, it seems to add little to performance.

What is a Piusi fuel hose?

This ready to fit fuel hose and nozzle kit comes with a Piusi Standard Auto 60 nozzle and premium diesel delivery hose, making it the ideal solution for when the hose and nozzle on existing fuel dispensing pumps needs replacing. Suitable for use with both diesel and oil applications, this fuel tank hose and nozzle comes in two different hose lengths for you to choose from – 4 or 6 meters.

Can you use a manual hose nozzle in a gravity fed system?

Only manual nozzles can be used within gravity fed installations, as the back pressure required for an automatic nozzle to open is unlikely to ever be achieved under gravity conditions. For this reason, gravity hose kits are always supplied with manual nozzles.

What is a UL approved nozzle?

These are UL approved, "automatic shut off" nozzles (spring shut off when fuel level high) that are used for service station refuelling pressure pumps. Nozzles can be sold complete with a hand warmer and splash guard, or without. The N3070 are designed for self service where the user must hold the trigger open, while the N3071 are for full service and incorporate the "hold open" rack and trigger. Standard nozzle internals are rated down to -40°C (-40°F), however "Cold Temperature" nozzles are rated down to -51°C (-60°F). For farm tank or truck mounted fuel tank applications using a 12V, 24V DC 110V, 115V, 230V AC pumps, please see N3071F- nozzles (low volume automatic shut-off); the standard automatic shut off N3070- or N3071- service station nozzles will not work with gravity feed or low volume systems since their shut-offs are pressure activated (ie. a higher pressurized pump is needed to create vacuum and shut-off flow).

What is the difference between a N3070 and a N3071?

The N3070 are designed for self service where the user must hold the trigger open, while the N3071 are for full service and incorporate the "hold open" rack and trigger. Standard nozzle internals are rated down to -40°C (-40°F), however "Cold Temperature" nozzles are rated down to -51°C (-60°F).
