Before Sandbanks Provincial Park was ever a park, it was first the site of a number of settlements. The earliest ones were of Ice Age-era hunter-gatherers. A couple thousand years later, Europeans came to the land, mostly Loyalist Quakers from New York escaping the American Revolutionary War in the 1770s.

The cottage has a master bedroom with double bed, loft with two single beds. Visitors will find a fully equipped kitchen (including dishes, cutlery and appliances), satellite TV, propane fireplace, barbeque and propane. Bedding and towels are supplied.

Reservations are available for 6 nights only (Saturday to Friday) from the 3rd Friday in June to Labour day. Outside of this window there is a 3-night minimum stay.
