My husband and are doing some extensive home improvements but not remodeling. We are trying to make choices to make our home comfortable and safer for our current and future much older selves. As you can see, ALL of the floors need to be replaced. The house got a new roof recently, but the ceilings are in bad shape from 20 years of leaks. There is mold in some of the walls and ceilings. Some rooms aren't so bad but others need to be completely gutted and redone.

City got a grant to switch the whole neighborhood from septic to city sewer. The contractor just ripped up a section of my driveway
As per the title, my city received a grant to switch ~219 homes in my neighborhood from septic to city sewer. They had us sign a general right of passage to do the work and we were told that everything will be made whole in the end (any landscaping destroyed, etc) once the project is complete.
