Should You Dry-Burn Your coils?
Those who choose to do it believe that there are benefits to doing a dry-burn. For one, dry-burning a coil—or applying a large amount of pressure to it in order to heat it up to a very high temperature—can supposedly help to burn off many of the residuals that are often present on a coil.
Can You Dry Burn stainless steel wire?
Yes one can dry burn stainless steel wire as it can be used both in power and TC applications. Which is why its an ideal type of wire for this very fact. Using SS430 myself I will dry burn it to clear the gunk and then re-wick.

I've heard mixed things on dry burning SS but it seems like it's alright. And with the titanium I think you had a not so good quality titanium because ti is all I've used for 8 months and everyone that try's out my tanks and rdas comments on the clean taste. The popping your talking about is gonna be your wicking most likely and not the ti.

i dry burn at low wattage and it seems fine to me. but on tc it seems to kick me out often and switch to wattage mode.

It comes from Flawless and starts tomorrow. They'll still be able to ship to the green states but the grey states are fucked for now.
