Big heat
The big buddy is just as it claims, BIG!! It works great for larger areas but is over kill for a tent. Overall I'm very happy with its performance and it's nowhere near as tip sensitive as I've read, I can move it around while it is running and gust of wind don't seem to bother it much.

Remarkable return of value for the price. 18,000 BTU at it's top output, with two settings below that when less is needed. Internal fan that moves the warm air effectively in a 12'X12' area. Easy to operate, with a very short learning curve. Very safe if you follow the instructions, and adhere meticulously to the safe handling of propane.
Big Buddy heater
I got this heater for camping and hunting trips because I'm tired of going to bed and waking up freezing my backside off. I fired this baby up at home in the family room and in 15 minutes (at high and fan running) i had to turn it off i was sweating. In my canvas tent this bad boy big buddy will keep me toasty ... that's a great thing.

Heater is preforming just as advertised, very pleased, I also purchased the regulator/hose assembly, it was a wee bit hard to hook up to the heater, but doable. The fan runs on flashlight batteries (4 d cells) and I see on the box that a plugin converter is available...may get that for use also
Great to have available for emergencies
We bought our Big Buddy to complement a Coleman stove, a propane lantern, and a bunch of flashlights to provide a way to sustain ourselves through our all-to-common power outages. We had three recent power outages: one that extended three days.

Easy to set-up and operate
My main interest was using this heater as a temporary, emergency indoor heat source. Since it does not generate the deadly carbon monoxide gas and since it has a low oxygen shut-off valve, it is ideal to heat a small area should we lose our electricity. It is easy to set-up and operate.
Must have for cool weather tent camping!
This little heater is great. We camp in Northern California where the night temps drop into the 40s even during the summer. This heater will get our eight person tent warm within a minute or two. One green bottle of propane lasts us at least four nights.

the heater is wonderful! in the snow storm that we had a few years ago that left me and my all electric home without heat or power for 2 weeks, this was a miracle!! it is light weight, easy to use, safety features and runs for quite a while on 1 lb. bottle of propane. Have owned several of these over the years. They are safe and reliable for 3-4 years and then seem to die so you need a new one. Walmart had the best price around by far. As long as you know they do die after a few years you will be happy with this heater.
