What are the safety measures at PetSmart?
Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, PetSmart has placed the safety of our pet parents and customers at the center of our operations and implemented stringent measures in our salons that meet or exceed all relevant health and safety standards. These measures include: 1 Installation of transparent hanging safety partitions between grooming tables, which reduces the possibility of droplet transmission and provides an additional layer of protection for salon associates. 2 Digital check-in and payment options to remove unnecessary contact points. 3 Social distancing tape has been placed on salon floors in areas indicating where customers should stand and where groomers can walk. Additionally, only one pet family is allowed in the salon lobby at a time to help maintain proper distancing. 4 Plexiglass counter shields located in all salon lobbies as an added safety measure. 5 Enhanced cleaning measures continue to be performed between each service and at the end of each day. 6 Appointments-only policy in Canada for standalone services like nail trims, nail grinds, Pawdicures and Pawdicure Plus packages. Please call your local salon to schedule an appointment. Walk-in services are available in most of our U.S. and PR stores.
