I hate Aasimar as a dungeon master. Everything about them, every part of their being, is just abysmal
Warning: The following is a bad opinion that is not in any way based on fact. I’m not attacking your wonderful Aasimar character who I’m sure is super fun to DM for. These are the objectively wrong opinions of one troglodyte, me.
My wife just met a dude wearing a D&D t-shirt, but he had no idea what it was
Just gave me a chuckle. Like the joke about wearing a Metallica top when you've never heard of Metallica.
The mimic mimic: a simple encounter my players liked
The players go into a room. There, they find a very obvious mimic. Show them the mimic token, mini or whatever. The thing is a chest with visible eyes and teeth.
Why is everyone so attached to their pcs now
When i first played 5e my dad gave me this talk saying dnd is a game where pcs die sometimes so dont get too attached.
I love the Path of the Berserker Barbarian. Tier-lists be damned
I’m currently in my first DND group about 50 sessions in playing a level 13 half-orc Path of Berserker Barbarian where we’re now in the Against the Giants campaign, and I’ve got to say, I’ve really enjoyed the PoB Barbarian so far.
5E's Flaws that didn't happen in other Editions
So I've been in a server with several D&D players that have played previous editions and are currently running a campaign using 3E.
Longest 5E combat
Our sessions are normally about 4 hours in length, typically with 2 or 3 minor skirmishes lasting about 1 hour in total.
