Amber Hagerman was just a 9 year old girl and on Saturday, January 13, 1996 at 3:30 p.m. while riding her bike in an abandoned grocery store parking lot, she was abducted and murdered two days later. Her mother wanted to set up a system for missing and exploited children which we today, we call an Amber Alert.
