The 3/8 flare line nut has a 5/8-18 machine screw thread and the fuel pump has a 1/4”, 3/8” or 1/2” NPT tapered pipe thread depending on which pump. The diagram above is for a two barrel carb and they only had 5/16” fuel lines. Only dual quad and FI cars came with 3/8” fuel lines and their fuel pumps had ½” NPT inlets and outlets.
